Facial Reflexology
TIME: 10am-5pm
Open to qualified Reflexologists, Massage Therapists and Indian Head Massage Therapists
Facial Reflexology is a wonderful energy rebalancing therapy that engages with the natural healing processes within the body. This method originated from a Vietnamese system of Facial acupressure developed in the 1980’s. In the same way as foot reflexology, areas on the face correspond to specific areas of the body. Your clients will also experience profound states of relaxation from this gentle and soothing treatment. As well as being a holistic therapy, it has the added benefit of facial rejuvenation. Careful palpation and stimulation of the plentiful supply of nerves and blood vessels within the facial muscles and soft tissue not only re-energises and increases circulation but also has the added bonus of leaving the face looking smoother, more toned and radiant.
Facial Reflexology will enable you to enhance your existing practice by being be able to offer clients an alternative to foot Reflexology or to create a bespoke treatment, combined with your existing skills.
During the course we will cover:
History of Facial Reflexology
Introduction to maps of the face
A Facial Reflexology treatment routine
Sequences for specific conditions
Supervised practical sessions
Further reading provided reviewing the anatomy of the head and neck.
What to bring:
Couch or Reflexology recliner cover.
Small hand towel.
Pillow.
Blanket.
Antibacterial hand gel for your own use.
If you would like to bring your own carrier/facial oil to use on the day, please feel free to do so.
